Somewhere in the UK, just for a laugh, a group of students are playing around with a self-hypnosis book and trying their best to scare each other. Some pretend, others think it is all a bit silly, but all join in. Then one of them is apparently under! In a bizarre twist, she starts to speak in a strange language and they all think it is a huge joke. Until they find they cannot bring her round again….. A little research into the language she is speaking suggests it is an ancient Egyptian dialect not heard for centuries - certainly it is not being taught at this college! Then, she starts to react physically as if something from the past is hurting her. An ancient languages expert, translating, explains that she believes herself to be a young Egyptian queen, who it turns out actually existed. Meanwhile, in ancient Egypt, a young queen is beginning to see the world through eyes she does not recognise. As the two worlds entwine, researchers discover the young queen actually met a rather grisly end, and as the date of the queens death approaches and the hypnotised student starts to react more and more physically, the race is on to bring her round before they may lose her for ever. In Egypt, a young queen is beginning to understand this may be her escape route… THE COMPANY Cast: Pastoral Staff & Arrangements: Head Chaperone: Dawn Bryan Contact phone number: 07758 455 125 (This phone number will be available from 6th August) Rehearsal venue and dates: Venue: Bearwood College Dates and times: 13th - 18th August 2007.
