Tom’s formal music training began as a chorister under Andrew Millington in Guildford Cathedral Choir, touring to France, Denmark and the USA.

After winning the Merchant Taylors’ performance prize two years running, he secured a scholarship to read music at the University of London, studying piano with Vanessa Latarche, and conducting with Peter Stark. He now works predominantly in musical theatre, and as well as being the musical supervisor for Gateway Theatre Company, recent credits as MD include:

Still Life, Bridewell Theatre;  Passage of Dreams, Bridewell Theatre; Company, Broadway Studio Theatre; News Revue, Canal Café Theatre; Goblin Market, Lyric Theatre Belfast/NYMT; Have a Nice Life, Pleasance Theatre London; Jesus Christ Superstar, Bloomsbury Theatre; Sweet Charity, Theatre on the Hill; Cabaret, Broadway Studio Theatre;

Recent shows as assistant/dep MD: The Secret Garden, Winston Churchill Hall; Annie, Bob Hope Theatre; The Late Sleepers, Newcastle Theatre Royal/NYMT; Merrily We Roll Along, Edinburgh Fringe.

Other shows as a pit musician include: Sweeney Todd, Creation, City of Angels, Guys and Dolls, Baby and The Will Rogers Follies.
