It's Like Waiting for a busk...... 10.30am - 5.30pm,14th - 19th August
Heatham House, Twickenham
Somewhere in the world there are great rock, pop & blues songs not being sung to passers by.
Somewhere in this country there are spaces on paths waiting to be filled by guys and girls with weather-beaten guitars and harmonies on destroyed coat hangars around their necks.
The buskers are gone.
Underappreciated for years, they have vanished - perhaps in a haze of apathy, or drowning in self-pity; perhaps totally unloved, uncared for and unpaid. By you.
But all that is about to change.
Perhaps they are not gone, but are simply gathering. Joining. Growing. Waiting. Perhaps they are uniting to show how sad and uninspired your life would be without them.
You will be left adrift.
You will hear nothing. You will whistle nothing. It will feel like a graveyard.
Somewhere not very far away they are rising, challenging and preparing for the revolution.
Atten-tion! Shoulder guitars! Slope keyboards! By the left, qui-i-i-ck plya!
Freedom for music...The buskers are about to fight back.
Expect to be taken by the scruff of your guitar case as YMT: UK beats the creative juices out of you for 6 days this summer. Join us as we devise a new Music Theatre piece and show Twickenham the drama of making real music.
Course fee is £20 and is non-residential.
