In addition to what we can offer young people, YMT: UK also offers many other opportunities for employment, voluntary work and training.
Employment We do not currently have any permanent vacancies.
Internships We are currently offering internships for next Spring click here. Use the right-hand menu to find out about other volunteering and work experience opportunities.
Pastoral Staff We have now completed our interviews for pastoral staff for this Summer - thank you to all those who applied. We endeavour to hold further interviews later in the year, as we need pastoral staff every Summer and sometimes through the year. So please send in an application if you'd like to be considered for the future. Full details and Application form are available on the pastoral page.
The Leverhulme Trust Training Awards During summer of 2008, YMT: UK is making sixteen bursary training places available for recent graduates or those in their second or third year of higher education wishing to gain work experience on music theatre projects working with young people. Click here for more details - please note the deadline for 2008 has now passed. These positions have been kindly funded by a grant from the Leverhulme Trust.
Scripts Although most of the company's work is devised, we will look at book/librettos and listen to CD's of new work where possible. We are currently setting up a panel of readers to undertake this work. If you wish to submit material, please send it to the office marked 'Script' and we will put it in a queue to be read. Please note that this may take a substantial amount of time, particularly over the summer months.
Freelance Staff If you are a practitioner please feel free to send us your CV by e-mail to mail@ymtuk.org Please make clear any special skills you may have, including any relating to working with less advantaged or challenging young people.
Your Comments “I found my placement at YMT: UK to be hugely beneficial – I’d recommend it to anyone who is interested in a career in arts administration or arts management.”
