John Nicholson is a founder-director of, and regular performer with, the award winning international theatre company Peepolykus, which specialises in its own peculiar brand of madcap comedy. John trained at Circomedia, and has since directed, devised, and performed for stage, TV and film.
John has devised and performed in 8 Peepolykus shows to date. They are No Man’s land, Squid, Let the donkey Go, I am a Coffee, Horses for Courses, Midsummer Rude Mechanicals (NT commission), Goose Nights, Rhinoceros, Mindbender and All In The Timing.
His other recent theatre work includes The Lesson (Inneroom TC), Blast! (The World Famous), A Christmas Carol (Vanessa Ford productions).
With Peepolykus he has co-written and filmed a pilot for The Paramount Comedy Channel; Sketches for BBC2's Comedy Nation; weekly features on Stop the World - BBC Choice; Dear General - a short pilot film of Let The Donkey Go.
