Emily is currently Associate Director of West Lothian Youth Theatre where she is responsible for delivering and managing the Youth Theatre’s workshop programme and holiday projects. She has created many innovative educational projects in schools that have proved to be very successful and has trained other members of staff in the delivery of these projects.

Emily has also undertaken some larger-scale projects. Last year she was the project manager and co-director of a site-specific production based on the history of the Knights Templar and Knights of St John. In 2005 she directed and managed two productions; ‘Life’s a Pizza’ and ‘Fame’. ‘Life’s a Pizza’ was a TIE production on the topic of healthy eating, funded by NHS West Lothian, resulting in a final performance at the Scottish Parliament. The project proved to be so popular with primary schools that it toured again in 2006. The production of ‘Fame’ was a summer project which resulted in 3 performances of the musical. Emily was responsible for the management of the artistic team and oversaw the whole project as well as directed it.

Prior to working at WLYT, Emily worked with TAG as Education Officer for a year where she managed and delivered a vast array of educational theatre projects. She has also spent a couple of years in Paris where she created a bilingual theatre production in association with Drama Ties and she contributed significantly to the business development of the company.
