Edinburgh Studio 2006 will be based on the urban legend of ‘Mole People’ – a civilisation who have chosen to live underground away from the surface folk.  Beneath the familiar streets and pavements of our cities lies an undiscovered world that most of us never see, but walk over every day.

Our story will journey into that world, to meet a group of Mole People who’ve been underground for several generations, totally isolated.  How have they adapted to living in that environment?  How do they get water or food? How do they organise their society? How do they communicate? Do they have their own language? Are they mutants? And what happens when the ‘Mole People’ of Edinburgh are discovered?

There are some strange things happening out there…or maybe under there…On the final day we will share what we have created with family and friends…if they still recognise us….
