Alison Goldie is an actor, director and drama teacher. She teaches and directs young people for Youth Music Theatre UK, CPA School of Performing Arts and London School of Musical Theatre as well as schools and colleges throughout the UK.

 

She has directed several plays for Vienna’s English Theatre (including Look Back in Anger and a modern adaptation of Othello), for the Rainbow Theatre Group (devised shows with learning disabled actors) and The Drama Hub (community theatre).

 

She was a television presenter for BBC’s The Travel Show, amongst others, and acted in Newman and Baddiel in Pieces, The Alexei Sayle Show and Bean -The Movie. Alison has appeared regularly on BBC radio, in plays, sketches and as a reporter.

 

For several years she was a stand-up comic, solo and in a double act, The Wild Girls.

 

As an improviser, she was a founder member of Spontaneous Combustion and a player in Theatresports.

 

With her theatre company, The Weird Sisters, she toured worldwide, winning awards in the U.S, Canada and Australia.

 

Alison has written several plays, all of which have been performed, and much comedy material.
