Andrew Pearce has been singing live music professionally for the last 10 years. With his humble Gospel upbringing, Andrew took the Midlands Gospel scene by storm during the mid 1990's. He performed as a solo artiste at many major Uk Gospel Concerts as well as being a nominee in the Radio 1 Gospel Show awards in the catergory of best male Gospel solo artist 1998.
Andrew has extended his musical horizons by touringthe UK and Netehrlands with the band Stereo Nation, a Banghra, Reggae and R&B fusion band, who were signed to EMI Records. Andrew Performed with the band on M.T.V Europe.He has also undertaken backing vocals studio recordings with artists such as the American Rapper DJ Heavy D, and British Pop Star and actor Shawn Mcguire.
Andrew has also qualified as a Gospel vocal tutor, in addition he has obtained a B.A Honours Degree in English with Sociology. Furthermore Andrew has been awarded a Post Graduate Degreee Certificate in English Studies. Which includes the study of Linguistics. Andrew has also worked as a peripatetic teacher, teaching young people and mentoring at arts centres throught the U.K. He is involved in teaching all aspects of theatrical performance including fresstyle dance, drama and music.
Andrew has worked as a solo artiste in Detroit (USA), where he recorded two white label sinlges with the pioneering 1990's Dance act 'Inner City'. Andrew Major Breakthrough in his musical carreer came in 1999, where he was offered a six albun record deal with Polydor/Universal Records. with the guidance of the then polydor/Wildcard A&R manager Colin Barlow, Andrew with his band 'Lovefield' travelled Europe and the U.S extensively recording and developing their musical style. The Debut Album entitled 'Vivid' was relased in September 2003. This album was produced by the talented musical veteran Trevor Horn.More recently Andrew has put his musical talents asMusical Director by working with young people in Youth Music Theatre UK productions, both in Plymouth and Kent. |
